In 1931 Federico García Lorca was appointed Director of University Theatre company La Barraca. This company was commissioned to carry around their production in the most remote rural areas of Spain. Lorca loved to recite, read, interpret its verses and his theater pieces in front of friends and students of the university. It was during this tour with La Barraca, which Lorca wrote his best known works of theater. A poet never dies because it continues to live in the verses which he wrote. The failure to find the remains of Lorca, after the shooting, seems to suggest just that. I imagined a Federico revived, in the company of his old friends, still plays and directing his most famous plays, of which the characters take shape in the scene as ghosts conjured by the poet. He himself, deus ex machina of the show is staged with a nurse-maid, good and wise spirit of the house and present in many of his plays, played by Federica Bisegna, with which it interacts. Despite being a brilliant artist and exuberant, Lorca has kept to his own creative activity is a stringent attitude to it asking two essential conditions: amor y discipline. The same attitude of love and discipline with which our students will face a difficult challenge: to confront the word - that word! - One of the greatest poets and dramatists of all time. A word which, like that of Shakespeare (which often looks Lorca in his plays), is action - emotion - and that image does not need any frills because they live for herself.
